We are having open gardens on 23rd and 24th October and 30th and 31st October.
Despite the incredibly dry weather the garden is looking terrific in some sections. The bougainvilleas are magnificent as it the rose garden. I am able to pick 2 buckets full every second day. Unfortunately the main flush will be over for the open gardens.
We are hoping and praying that the drought will break so that the visitors will be able to see the magnificent garden they always expect here at Baynesfield.
The casing of the turbine which we had to lift to make way for the development of the new feed mill.
This casing has been cleaned up and the impellor or turbine wheel will also be cleaned up and both will be mounted on a plinth near the museum with a brass plaque giving details.
