We recently got a horse drawn vehicle from the museum service. We didn't know what it was but the mystery has been solved by Cliff Horwell.
Our new addition is a Hunting Brake (break). It has seats facing back or front. When people went out shooting they would face backwards and when they were on their way home, they would put the shot game in the back section and they would face forward!
It was made by E Ford in PMB in 1914 - we found this when we took the wheel off and these details were written in the axle.
